A proper power dialer auto-advances through a list, drops pre-recorded voicemails in one click, logs calls without the rep touching anything, and ideally surfaces coaching prompts in real time. That's a workflow tool. A click-to-call button is just a shortcut to your phone app.

Outreach acquired Kaia, a conversation intelligence tool, and has added AI-generated call summaries and some calling functionality over time. It's useful for low-volume, relationship-led sales where the rep is working a small number of accounts deeply. It is not a power dialer and isn't designed for high-volume cold calling. If you're running a proper outbound motion, you'll outgrow it quickly.

If calling is a meaningful part of your outbound motion, the quality of the dialer matters more than most teams account for when choosing a platform. A click-to-call button doesn't change rep behaviour. A power dialer that auto-advances, drops voicemails, and handles logging automatically can double the number of conversations a rep has in a day.
